~Dan~ Vocals, guitars
Feb. 22, 2003
Hey, people. Here's some great news. My wife of four and a half years (Tara Jo) are expecting a baby!!
The due date is set for August 4, 2003, so we are all really excited!
Anyway, here's some background info:
I was born and raised in upstate NY in the Southern Tier
(Johnson City and Owego, in that order).
I am incredibly happily married to Tara Jo Eash (Conant) as of 6.20.98,
and we currently reside in Mt. Vernon, Ohio.
I play guitar and sing.
I am a believer in the power of the love and grace of God.
I love to write and play the best music that I am empowered by God to play.
I have many likes and dislikes, but most of my likes are good music and sports.
Gear of choice:
Amp (head): Fender Prosonic
Cab (4x12): 80’s Ampeg cab w/ Celestions (I’m not sure which kind of Cel’s)
Guitars: Fender ’72 custom reissue Mexican Telecaster, Fender Strat Standard w/ a Seymour Duncan JB Jr. stacked humbucker at the bridge.
Effects: Everything Boss: TU – 2, MT – 2, GE – 7, & OS – 2.
Bands or artists of choice:
There are a ton of bands and artists that I love. Here are some favorites and influences.
Jimmy Eat World, Foo Fighters, the Toadies, MK Ultra, John Vanderslice, CKY, The Dismemberment Plan, Embodyment, Texas Is The Reason, Extol, Jeff Buckley, Sheryl Crow, Sensefield, the 77’s, the Pixies, and many others.
My top 10 albums of the year (or at least that I’ve started listening to this year), and most of these are still in my disc player:
1. Foo Fighters - One by one
2. John Vanderslice - Life and Death of an American Four-Tracker
3. John Vanderslice - Time Travel Is Lonely
4. John Vanderslice - Mass Suicide Occult Figurines
5. CKY - Infiltrate, Destroy, Rebuild
6. Embodyment - Songs for the Living
7. Toadies - Hell Below, Stars Above
8. The Dismemberment Plan - Emergency and I
9. Saxon Shore - Be A Bright Blue
10. Moss Eisley - self-titled EP
Used gear for sale:
KMD head: Tube and solid state powered. 100 watts. It’s a decent amp, but it’s got a short circuit or two to resolder. Otherwise, this is a cool amp.
Marshall Lead Mosfet 100 head: All solid state powered. 100 watts. This amp is the 80’s version of Marshall’s attempt at branching into the solid state market. This amp kicks hard!
Marshall 1960’s 4x12 cab w/ Celestions: This Marshall lead (JCM 900) cab has the colossal sound you expect to use when bringing down the house. It’s not one of those less-than Marshall Valvestate or AVT cabs. This is the real thing! It has some obvious wear, but that has just given it some character.
That’s enough about me, so let us hear about you. Please take the time to email our address (ohioplastics@hobbynexus.com), and tell us “hi.” Have a great day, and may you have a wonderful holiday season!
